Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord; his appearing is as sure as the dawn; he will come to us like the showers, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3
The duty of the Israelites was to portray to the world that they were a people whose laws and holy oracles were of the one whose kingdom never ends. Through Hosea God has shown us that hearts prepared and ready opens the door for God’s mercy and grace. Just as spring rain refreshes the earth and winter rain sustains the trees, God has promised stability and fruitfulness if we are fully surrendered.
Our mandate is to be caring, sharing and a saving outreach to the dying. Has my love for God been evident to those who do not know him? Or have I absorbed the same values dominating the secular world today? I thank God for God’s care and concern for me and for revealing his desire to give life.
